“I can’t enough good things about this organization. They are so passionate and dedicated to caring for these precious kitties. I got 2 best friends back in January and they are so wonderful. Just amazing people running CAC.”

Our Commitment Doesn’t End at Adoption.
Adoption day isn’t the end of our relationship with you. When you adopt from Companion Animal Coalition, you become part of the CAC family—and we’re here to support you and your adopted pet long after they go home.
We want every adoption to succeed. Whether you have a question two days after adoption or need help years later, we want you to reach out. Our commitment to our animals doesn’t end when the adoption paperwork is signed.
Every CAC adoption includes a two-week health guarantee.
We do everything possible to make sure animals are healthy and ready for their new homes before adoption. However, animals can occasionally develop symptoms or have a medical concern become apparent after settling into a new environment.
If you have a health concern during the first two weeks after adoption, please contact CAC before seeking veterinary care whenever possible.
Our team can help determine the appropriate next steps and coordinate care when applicable under our health guarantee.
If you can no longer care for an animal adopted from CAC, please contact us.
Life changes. Housing situations change. Families experience emergencies. Sometimes circumstances arise that no one could have anticipated, and sometimes an adoption simply isn’t the right fit.
Whatever the reason, we want you to reach out. There is no need to feel embarrassed or afraid to contact us.
CAC animals should never be surrendered to another shelter or rescue, rehomed online, given away, or abandoned. They always have a place to return to with us.
Our priority is making sure the animal is safe and helping determine the best next step.
Adoption doesn’t mean goodbye.
CAC adopters are invited to join our alumni Facebook community to stay connected after adoption.
Share photos, updates, milestones, funny stories, and all the little moments that come with life after adoption.
Our foster families and volunteers put so much love into these animals before adoption, and we love getting to see them thriving in their forever homes.
Bringing a new animal home is exciting, but it can also come with questions and unexpected challenges.
Maybe your new cat is hiding longer than you expected. Maybe introductions with a resident pet aren’t going smoothly. Maybe you’re unsure whether a behavior is normal or simply need help finding the right resource.
Ask us.
Sometimes a little guidance early on can prevent a small challenge from becoming a much bigger one. If we can answer a question, share a resource, or help you troubleshoot, we want to.
You don’t need to wait until something becomes a major problem. We’re happy to help our adopters with questions about:
Finding an animal a home is only one part of a successful adoption. We care about what happens afterward, too.
Companion Animal Coalition is committed to the lifelong success of the animals who come through our care and the people who choose to love them.
Whether it has been two days, two months, or several years since you adopted from CAC, you are still part of our community.
You can still call us. You can still ask questions.
And your CAC animal will always have a place with us.
There are so many ways you can help animals in need. Together, we can build a better future for every pet.
